dilation right atrium and ventricle
I am a 31 y/o recently hospitalized for chest pain, heart rate of 137 bpm at rest (sinus tachycardia), and SOB. MD's thought it might be small PE but CXR neg., venous doopler legs neg, chest CAT scan with dye neg. Echo shows mild tricuspid and mitral regurg, mild right ventricle dilation, right atrial dilation, mitral valve leaflets mildly thickened.Stress test neg. ischemic changes occ. pvd's. No medical problems. On OC's for 9 years. Weight 133 at 5'5 works out 6 days a week. Thyroid test WNL, blood count WNL. 24 hour halter shows no sinus tachycardia. ECg shows early transition with t wave inversion in v1 and v2 (IRBBB? RV T waves?) borderline RAA.Next test is TEE.
What does all this mean? Any ideas?
