dislodged lead

yesterday,(2-3-11....approx:9am) My Wife had a pacemaker replacement. A (2) lead unit from 2007, to a(3)lead unit.  The problem is the 3rd wire had become dislodged during the nite. The Boston scientific techs had come in (3) times during the nite,tried to make the calibrations and after the 3rd attempt, the 3rd wire was left off...Adding to the problem, we were discharged at approx:4pm and sent home . Under protest for the obvious seriousness of this problem,we were told of the schedualing difficulties with the surgery rooms available and sent on our way .The Surgeon assured us there is no danger and would try to get an opening asap. As of now we are re-schedualed for next thursday...Safe? No danger? Should we be worried?

I understand your frustration, I also would feel bad about it.

As per the risk, as I understand it, the situation is the same that before the intervention, so the risk is the same that she should had if the intervention were had postponed.

Of course 2 interventions have obviously more hazard that just 1.
