Stents are certainly less invasive and traumatic. Probably less problematic, unless your Dad has a unhealthy lifestyle that he is unwilling to give up.

I assume your Father is a non-smoker?

Thanks for the information.
we are confused what to choose. stents or Cabg.
i prefer stents because they are easy to get. but i am also thinking if that is best option and if they don't get blocked. i would greatly appreciate if you explain what we should do. one doc said cabg and other said 4 stents.

I had a 90%, another 90%, and a 70%...I had the CABG. I feel that it probably saved my life.....

So sorry for your Father's problem. I am not a doctor, but based on what I know and what I read it seems to be appropriate. Normally these types of blockages are treated surgically when they reach 70%. Since some are in excess of 95% I doubt they can be treated medically. Please feel free to send me a message if I can help explain anything, but I think at this time you need to trust the doctor as he seems to be responding accordingly.

Good luck,

Jon
