CP is doctor lingo for chest pain. The stress echo is being done to see if your chest pain is related to ischemia, or a lack of blood to your heart muscle, or another cause. They will look for changes in your EKG during the test and also will watch your heart to see if there are any changes in function while stressed. I have had a dobutamine stress test, no big deal. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it just fine.

Good Luck!

Tony
