does renexa effect ef

my husband is 44 and has had 1 mi and has 7 stents.  His cath in january showed an ejection fraction of around 45 to 50.  He was place on renexa at that time for microvascular disease.  He began having chest pain on and off a few weeks ago and this last cath showed no new blockages but his ef is now 30 to 35.  Is it possible for the renexa to have caused this as that is the only change made between the two caths?

My son who had 2 heart blockages 10 yrs ago ,at which time he was 34 , just had another heart cath done 6 weeks ago and had the blockages in the same place as before, 10 yrs. later and it didn't help the chest and teeth throbbing pain to have those unblocked and  was put on Renexa. This is 5 days today and he said he doesn't feel good today at all and  so far ,never, did it stop the chest pain or teeth throbbing.

not known that ranexa cause reduction of EF
I tin this good drop in EF after inserting 7 stents  is cused by some thrombus small in sizes or debri that goone down the stream and reflected now by decrease of EF
please ask ur  crdioloist wether there was a raise of Tropnin after the stent procedure if so the answer is small heart attackes has had happned during the procedures which now reflected by reductions of EF

I'm not a health professional but have about the same number of stents as your husband (I have eight), had several MI's and a pacemaker.  I was prescribed Ranexa for microvascular disease as well.  I would doubt Ranexa would result in a lower EF.  I noticed a positive change in my ability to exercise soon after I started taking Ranexa.  I do know that the EF is a ratio that changes for a variety of reasons.  What other drugs is your husband taking?  It's probably possible he could be getting heart pain from a conflict of medications.  Imbdur or a generic version of the drug is a great product to reduce chest pain.  What does his doctor have to say regarding the chest pain and EF reduction?  Keep us informed.
