echo results

i recently had a 2-d echo done. i go next week for the doctor to explain results to me but i was wondering if anyone could help me out before hand.
i got the results and they read LV and RV systolic function hyperdynamic. Trace of mitral valve regurgitation and mild tricuspid regurgitation.
I take a beta blocker every night to treat the rapid heart rate and palpitations which started 4 years ago, leading for the doctor to think i had mitral valve prolapse but not doing any test to confirm this diagnosis back then.
can anyone give me any information as to what may need to be done about this or if medication will continue to be ok for this.
I am 23 years old and I am concerned b/c there is a possibility of being pregnant or becoming pregnant.

Q: " LV and RV systolic function hyperdynamic".

>>>>The right and left ventricles pump blood into the system.  The left ventricle has a normal range of output with each heartbeat, and that output is a percentage of the filling capacity of the LV and normal is 50 to 70%. If the output is greater than 70% (hyperdynamic) that could indicate the heart is overcompensating to pump more blood into circulation with each heartbeat.  If the high EF is sustained over a period of time, that can weaken the heart.  RV is the right ventricle.

Trace, mild, trivial leakage is not considered medically significant.

A fast heart rate is another indication the system is compensating to meet the oxygenated blood demand, and a fast heart rate can cause palpitations.  Your beta blocker medication should reduce your heart rate.

Your system may be compensating for a pregnancy, and it may be normal under those circumstances.  Or it could be anxiety.

Thanks for your question, and if you have any further questions or comments you are invited to respond.  Take care.
