hello everyone..im taliha
i am 15 years old and have been suffering with heart problems fo at least two years...
i have had two-three minor heart attacks and its dramatically increased in the last two months.
not allowing me to do what i love netball, dancing or even relaxing.
i was offered meds on thursday but i couldnt have them because of my other medical problems mainly asthma. it ment no more netball and i couldnt do that. so i am most likely to have surgery. where they cutCuts and puncture wounds a sml hole in my groind and put a zapper(lazerLazer creme thing) through a main artery into my heart and zap the part of my heart that is doing the wrong thing. what are the risks????
thanks.
The medication they wanted to use was probably a beta blocker to slow down your heart rate. Those of us with asthma shouldn't use them. But there are other medications that can be used to help the heart rhythm.
This is something you should talk over with your doctor. Sounds like they're recommending a catheter ablation. Ask the doctor to describe the procedure to you. It may be that your arrhythmia problem could be cured with an ablation but again, only your doctor can give the details in your particular case.
