Does anyone know what "baseline early transition nonspecific ST abnormalities, SR HR"......means? My mother just had a heart attack and I have been very worried about my own future so I had a stress treadmill and this came up. Now I am worried this is an abnormal reading for me?! Thanks for any help.
Non-specific means exactly that - non-specific. There are many possible causes including low potassium. Without a formal examination and review of the EKG it would be impossible to give any further comments. Also, EKG can be non-specific meaning that EKG abnormalities don't always coincide with true clinical problems sa when the clinical data are not available to correlate with the ECG findings. This does not mean that the ECG changes are unimportant! It is the responsibility of the clinician providing care for the patient to ascertain the importance of the ECG findings.
