my ck level is 4097. I take coreg.hctz,celexa,nexium. this was taken when I was seen in the ER for dizziness. my troponin level was negative. I exercise 3 times per week.  Could you tell me what could be the cause of this?

That level is very high and means there is skeletal muscle breakdown somewhere in the body.Do you take a statin as they can increase ck significantly in some people. Also heavy exercise could increase ck  but not to this level. My ck hovers at about 450 which is higher than normal but in my case it is due to the Lipitor I take.Follow this up with your doctor on possible other causes.
Regards,
Dimi.
