Hello,
I am a 47 year old male. 5'11 200lbs. In Feb '14 i had an episode of a couple of NSVT's. Echo was normal except for mildly elevated right-sided pressure. Nuclear stress test normal EF 61. Also had a left heart cath-normal. I continued to have palpitations for several months and about 6 months ago I started to experience extremely bulging veins in my hands, forearms, lower legs and feet. I also have the sensation that my heart is beating harder than normal. My resting heart rate is 45-55 but almost daily or nightly will begin beating harder and increase in rate to 100-110 for a period of minutes to hours.
The bulging veins are continuous except for when its cool they constrict normally. I have been experiencing a great deal of pressure in my hands and feet due to the engorgement to the point of waking me nightly and am concerned that I could have a right-sided heart problem. Prior to these issues I was very active, running 3-4 times weekly but have done very little exercise in the last year. My heart beat gets my attention daily for fluttering or hard beating but not usually for irregularity. Since the vein issue began I have also been experiencing daily mild headaches and an increasingly blurry vision. any thoughts would be appreciated.
