enlarged heart muscle?
I have been told the left muscle in my heart is enlarged i have been put on beta blockers, any advice please x
Thank you, I have got very high blood pressure and the tablets aren't touching it, luckily i see my Dr or a weekly basis for her to keep her eye on me, but she did an ECG? yesterday and that is her opinion. she has made me an appointment for the Cardiologist and said that will be in the next week or so, hopefully i will know more than x
It depends on the cause of the enlargement. It shows your heart has been working harder than it needs to. It also depends on how enlarged your left ventricle is. There are a number of causes, even high blood pressure, and beta blockers are a first good step. Beta blockers encourage the heart to work less hard and lower blood pressure slightly.
