enlarged heart

I had an Echocardogram test done two weeks ago and everything looked good.  The same day I had a chest exray done for sudden onset of severe S.O.B and it showed an enlarged heart.  How can the Echo come back fine if there is an enlarged heart? I am scheduled for a Stress Test in one week. I am very concerned since heart disease runs in my family.

well an echo is more accurate than a chest xray for measuring dimensions, a lot more
accurate. A chest xray can have exposure problems or shadowing. It's unlikely that the
heart swelled up in just a couple of hours. The stress test will be valuable but I would
go with the echo results.
