I was reading one of the posts concerning enlarged hearts and the answer given said there are two kinds of enlarged hearts - dialated and thickened. What is the difference and why is it that a thickened heart cannot be detected until a person dies? Are there usually no symptoms and/or is it some kind of congenital problem usually? (thickened heart) It seems like you were saying there are no tests that can diagnose a thickened heart. Thanks.
