fast heart rate after ablation

Im an 18 year old female and in 2009 I began to notice my heart would start beating very fast for no reason at all. I told my parents and i had an echocardiogram done and it came back fine. So i just lived with it until i went to the emergency room in september of 2010 because i had been having chest pains for about 9 hours straight. When i got there my heart rate was 148. They did 3 EKGs and they all came back different but after my rate went down they sent me home and said I'm too young so it had to be a stimulant. I went to a cardiologist and they ram several test including a stress test, echo cardiogram, blood work and they had me on a holter monitor for 2 days. They later diagnosed me with psvt and i had cardiac ablation done about 3 weeks ago and i was in the room for 6 hours. My heart felt great besides a few pains here and there. But for the last week i am having the same symptoms as before. My heart starts racing and i can feel it in my chest pounding and i lose my breath. Did my ablation fail?

I'm sorry to hear you're still having some trouble.  Arrhythmias are a potential complication of an ablation procedure.  The scar that forms can often cause other arrhythmias.  Please check back in with your electrophysiologist to see if more workup needs to be done.
