fluctuating high blood pressure

Hi, I had a second ablation last november and I've beem in normal sinus rhythm since then. I developed an elevated heart rate and high blood pressure. I've been taking 360 mg of dilitiazem daily and 100mg of metoprolol and they were controlling my heart rate and bp. last week my bp shot up to 165/94 and heart rate was 110 bpm while on my meds. I added 100 mg of cozaar to my daily meds but notice that in the evening my bp and heart rate are sometimes high. I hate to keep increasing my med dosages to lower my bp and hr. I haven't seen my cardiologist or ep yet. has anyone seen this sort of change where the meds don't appear to be as effective as they used to? I'm concerned that something might be going on here for my bp to be this high . the heart rate I can understand might be a side effect of the ablation but the drugs should be controlling the bp. thanks
