fluid around heart

by rbirdie, Jul 04, 2009 08:35AM
I have been having upper right abdominal pain for 3 months. It has progressed in severity. I recently had a CT done. It was only barium since I have a severe shellfish allergy. The findings showed I have some fluid around my heart. My primary scheduled me for a test to be sure my heart is working OK in a few days. I am very uncomfortable. I am not sure what to do. They are not sure what is wrong with me and I am lost as to where to turn next. From what I understand this fluid is from something. I have no gallbladder, appendix and had a hysterectomy (cervix remains). I feel weak and am in pain. The pain is in the middle of my ribs and towards my right side. It gets worse when I do more. I can not lay on my right side and have not been able to for months. blood work is ok and I also had an upper and lower gi. Upper showed small ulcer in stomach and eshpogus but tested ok.
