gastric bypass patient seeks info on heart stent and post therapy

I am being asked several questions by a cardiologist concerning combining treatment with heart stent after having gastric bypass.  I have been told not to take anti inflammatory type drugs and other stomach irritating type drugs.  the cardiologist tells me that I would have to take aspirin and plavix.  I had gastric bypass 4 years ago.  Is it still dangerous for me to use aspirin or Plavix?  Is there other patients that have had this done after having gastric bypass?  Is there other treatments available that don't compromise the pouch that is now used in place of a stomach?
