ACE inhibitors and beta blockers improve heart function.  If the heart function is low due to coronary artery disease or valvular disease, corrective surgery may help.  In those cases where there are no surgical or interventional options and there is a conduction abnormality noted on the ECG, one could consider having cardiac resynchronization therapy which may improve heart function and symptoms.
