2 months later.......i did all tests again including echo test also . results came as follows ;
cholestrol 140 , HDL 27 , TGL154 and echo test revealed my ejection fraction as more than 55%
my cardiologist said.. this is good news & that the damage to my heart is not more than 10% .
my question(s) ;
- damage is not more than 10% .............shall i be happy or worried ? doesn't 10% sound like a lot ?
- how much should a person focus on ejection fraction after surviving a heart attack ?
- was always good at sports(badminton , cricket) , can a heart attack survivor like me play all these sports again with
same intensity & enjoy them as before ?
- now that i have sincerely put in efforts & reduced all my major risk factors & also taking all my medications as
directed , what are the chances of me getting another hear attack ?
It's been said often that when a young person suffers a heart attack it can be a good thing. They get very serious about their health, eating, exercising, and keeping stress down. Then they grow old and much healthier! Your ejection fraction is well within normal limits (55-75), I think you will be fine, and exercisae is now more important than ever! Keep up the good work, and stop worrying, it's not good for your heart :)
