heart cysts
My spouse was told he had a cyst on his heart.  I am concerned, as I can find no information on this whatsoever.  He has passed out several times, and the last one, we were told this.  We were also told that it could not be removed, as it would be more of a threat than leaving it.  Please let me know what exactly this is.

Thank you
mel

Cystic like structures can sometimes be seen on the echocardiogram.  Usually they are benign but sometimes depending on the appearance they need further investigation.
