heart flipflops

for the past two months ive been experiencing what feels like a my heart doing a flip in my chest once every 5 to 10 minutes all day and night. It is not painful but is something that used to only happen when i got frightened for example that feeling you get when you just avoided a major car accident. what could this be ? should i see a cardiologist?

You should go to a cardio but it sounds like PVC or PACs to me.  These are harmless in a structurally normal heart.  Many have them, one cardio told me they are as common as grass.  Some people feel them, some don't.  I have several a day and I feel every one.  They are scary so go get reassured by a doc that these are harmless.  I am 33 and have had them since I was 13.
