Tomorrow I will be getting a copy of my last year echo. I'm having chest pain and i'm a afraid of having some heart damage that show up on my last two echo. My heart doctor said he is going to order some more test because he said i might of had a heart attack and might have known it. My question is can a person have a mild heart attack and not know it and it can show up on a echo

As I understand it (and I'm not a doctor), wall motion abnormalities are parts of the heart wall that do not contract well or at all. Those sections of the heart wall may have been previously damaged by a heart attack or perhaps have thickened/aged and lost their original elasticity or perhaps are electrically isolated.
