heart palpitations and heat

I was walking in the sun for about two hours the weather was very hot it was 45 c i think, suddenly i felt like my heart is racing so fast with PVCs or skipped beats and i was sweating and very fatigued i went to a cool place where i  drunk lots of fluids and it all went back to normal(but PVCs lasted for a week then it went away), was it Afib or just heat exhaustion? i want to a cardiologist and he said my heart muscle is fine, i run every day for 6 km, should i be concerned?

Sounds like your autonomic system kicking into high gear ;)  you prob had low preload and therefore bp.  So your heart compensated.  The only way to keep co up is via increased sv or hr. So basically co( cardiac out put)= stroke volume ( amount of blood for each pump) x heart rate.

I think in your case totally benign.  And your body responded appropriately;)

It probably was just the heat, especially if you followed up with a cardiologist and everything checked out.  Keep hydrated with plenty of water and if this happens again, head back to the doctor to check again.
