heart pausing

43 year old female, no history of smoking, drinking, not over weight, the only health issues is high cholesterol 288 pulse at resting ranges 100 to 120 BP 120 /70, chronic migraines since age 9. About a year now and gradually progressing I feel my heart pause for a moment and the a pop and then I feel a surge of blood, no pain only annoying, I do not notice it all the time, usually when I'm lying down and now daily. When I have seen my PCP in the past for things he says idiopathic symptoms. The medications given for my cholesterol causes extreme headaches, I have an extremely healthy diet with daily walking for exercise. Any idea what causes my heart to do this?

You probably have some benign extra heart beats which fall early after a sinus beat (normal beat).  This then leads to a slightly longer interval to the next sinus beat which allows the heart to fill better and the subsequent beat feels stronger (pop).  This is a normal finding and should not concern you.  To be very certain of whats going on, you should wear a holter monitor for about 48 hours to prove this theory.
