Hello,
1. Is Teich the best and most accurate echo method and technique in measuring and estimating LV ejection fraction?
An ejection fraction of 55-69% are all normal. I would not focus on slight variations in estimates.
2. Is echo better than calcium screening heart scan (High-resolution,ECG synchronized Computed Tomography of the heart with attention to the major coronary arteries LM,LAD,LCX,RCA SOMATOM Sensation 16 CT scanner) in detecting and measuring posterior mitral valve annular calcification in middle age male adults?
history, physical, and echo are the best current measures to determine how to manage mitral annular calcification.
3. Is Left Atrium usually slightly increased (3.7-4.3cm)in long distance runners(50miles per week for years) and if it is does it ever decrease in size with cessation of activity and by how much?
I don't know the answer to this one. It is possible but I haven't seen that studied before.
Hope this helps. Thanks for posting.
