heart spasms

could you please give me some information on medication to treat heart spasms? I have been sufering with these every day for about a year. My doctor has put me on propranolol 160mg a day but they dont seem to be doing anything. If anything they have been getting worse sometimes i feel like im going to drop dead this might seem a bit extreem but its true. If you could please help me i would be very gratefull.
