heart surgery

my husband had mitral valve repair on the 24th of july 2007. everything went well with the operation and he is all right. the only thing we cannot understand is why his appetite has not returned. it has been 6 weeks. he is taking lisinopril 2.5mg at bedtime . Anyone out there had this problem?

It could be a medication side effect, I would discuss it with his doctor.  Glad everything else went well :)

I think that's pretty typical after heart surgery.  After mine, they told me to just never mind eating healthy, just eat anything that appealed to me.  And I did.  Try him on some delicious junk food.  Ice cream and chocolate candy worked for me.

I was told to have my mother have an italian ice.  it was supposed to help her appetite.
