heart valve disease
50 year old woman with  trace aortic triscuspid and mitral regurgitation also cusp seperation of the aortic valve how serious is all of this my doctor is not concerned and just recommends another echo yearly

Trace and mild regurgitation is considered medically insignificant...not uncommon and almost always no progression.

The aorta valve leaflets have 3 cusps normally, and some times the leaflets are fused together resulting in a deformed 2 cuspid configuration. If the doctor is unconcerned, then it can be assumed there is current issue.
