Dear Jfaley,
You could pursue one of two routes here. One option is to purchase the standard reference test for cardiac catheterization used by cardiologists everywhere:
Cardiac Catheterization, Angiography and Intervention
William Grossman,  Fifth (or most recent) edition
This will discuss in detail the principles of hemodynamic measurements, calculations of cardiac outputs, valvular stenotic orifice areas, and a great deal more about the art and science of catheterization laboratory techniques.
Another method, albeit a shortcut, would be to purchase a handbook of cardiology that also addresses similar issues.  One that I like is written by Morton Kern, and entitled "the Cardiac Catheterization Handbook" .  This book is much more concise and will likely address the salient points in a more efficient manner.  You might want to look at both of these and see which you're more likely to read and consult.
Best of luck
