i am a 22 yr female who is pregnant with her third child. i have been having chest pain on my left side that goes into my left shoulder when this happens it hurts so bad it takes my breath away my heart starts going crazy like it is not pumping right this lasts about ten minuets and ranges from severl times an hour to every couple hours i dont know if this is related but i also have tmj disorder and ever since this has been happening my jaw hurts ten times worse this has been going on for a week now i do not wish to go to a hospital if i do not have to as i do not have insurance

Thank you for your question. As you may know, it is not possible to figure out the cause  chest pain over the internet. There are many possible causes of chest pain. The quality and features of the pain can help distinguish the cause.For example, angina, or heart related chest discomfort is usually described as a substernal pressure, related to exertion.

Chest discomfort that is related to your heart is not typically worse with deep breaths or coughing.

You should see your doctor if you have any sort of chest discomfort. A careful history, physical exam, and possible additional tests such as a chest xray or EKG, will help to determine the possible causes of your chest pain.
