high blood pressure

My blood pressure is high (yesterday at dr 149/80) I had been taking hydrochlorothizide 25 which had no impact on my blood pressure. Sometimes in other dr office my pressure has been much lower (119/60) last week. I am now trying atenolol/chlorthalidone. I am 5' 4" and weigh 126 lb. I exercise (waling and weight lifting). I do not eat out a lot or buy processed foods. I eat very little red meat or high fat foods. I suffer from anxiety and worring about taking these medications is making me worse or the medication is affecting how I feel.
