does high pulse rate lead to heart disease. I am 60 years old and have had a high pulse rate since a very long time with a low blood pressure.
Of late my blood pressure is 130\90 and it is worrying.
Please let me know how to go about it.
Blood pressure is much more important than your heart rate. Long periods of high blood pressure can cause CAD but I doubt if a fast heart rate would do so. Your GP should measure your blood pressure accurately using a stethascope and then if necessary, prescribe blood pressure medication to bring it down. If you have any kind of infection this can of course raise BP as can many other things including diet.
