my 27 year old son has been recently diagnoses with sjogrensSjogren syndrome syndrome. he does have high blood pressurePressure ulcer and is on 320mg of diovanDiovan Diovan hct. he also has a problem with cholestrol -and is on lipitor 20mg and welchol 625 mg .on a chest x--ray confirmed by a chest cat scan he has hilar adenopathy. from reading i know sjogrensSjogren syndrome can cause this but could his high blood pressure also be a contributing factor? thank you.
Thanks for the question. I hope your son is doing well.
Hilar adenopathy refers to enlargement of the lymph nodes in the area between the lungs. Hypertension (high blood pressure) does not cause hilar adenopathy.
