hives and stents

i am 46 good shape but had to have two stents 4 days ago. i am on Effieant and mild pain med but today my whole body is covered in hives and i feel pressure around my heart. serious or the meds ?

You need to correspond with your doctor at once, in my opinion.  
One of my first angioplasty experiences didn't go to well, they had difficulty plugging the artery and I was given Morphine to help me through the pressure/closure procedure, and I got hives as well as had breathing troubles. Something is causing your auto-immune issues and hope you call your doctor asap.  If you can't reach him/her, I'd go to the emergency room.  Hives can indicate a serious problem.  Do keep us informed.
