Aspirin would be to help prevent any blood clotting that can result in a heart attack.  Aspirin helps reduce some types of pain, but the appropriate medication (if angina caused by a heart condition) would by a nitrate.  A nitrate would dilate heart vessels enabling the heart to receive moe oxygenated blood.  Angina (chest pain) is often due to a deficit of blood to the heart tissues.
