hyperthyroidism

I have recently been diagnosed with multinodular toxic goiter. However I have been suffering for at least 7 months. I had radioactive iodine treatment 4 days ago and am wondering if I should go on Beta blockers until the treatment kicks in, in order to minimize my symptoms. However, I am very worried about the possibility of these drugs causing asthma. I do not have asthma currently. Would Lopressor be a better choice than Inderol if this is one of my concerns? Are these drugs considered safe???

This medication is very safe.  It will not cause asthma if you don't already have it.  Lopressor and Inderal are essentially the same.  both are safe.
