What the heck is a tongue webbing?
As to your question, if your MVP typically requires antibiotics, I would avoid the piercing.
yeah i have to take meds for the dentist, i think he said it was mild
Do you know how bad your MVP is? They rank them according to severity - mild, moderate, etc. Any piercings in the mouth are potential trouble because it's so warm and moist and they take a long time to heal. Do you have to take prophylactic meds when you go to the dentist? If you do then I'd say mouth piercings are not for you. The best bet is to ask the doctor that diagnosed your MVP. Perhaps s/he will say "go ahead" but put you on antibiotics just in case.
The Americna Heart Association has narrowed its recommendation for who need antibitiocs dramatically. One may want to check with one's physician regarding this change. I assume dentists will be aware of it.
I would always take an antibiotic before any procedure that is done in the mouth....it can carry so much bacteria into your bloodstream
