I am 7 months pregnant and also have inappropriate sinus tachycardia, currently taking 80mg Inderal LA QD.  Will this affect my labor and delivery at all?  And will any special precautions be taken?  I am under the care of a high risk OB due to this condition, unfortunately he does not know very much about it and has admmitted so.  Thank you.

Dear Emily
It should not affect your labor and delivery too much, unless you bleed a lot. If you do, your body may not be able to compensate by increasing your heart rate. Your OB will also just need to watch for any signs of fetal heart rate slowing.
I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
