increased heart rate at night

by Coykendall, Sep 25, 2007 02:18PM
I'm 11 weeks post triple bypass without any cimplications....I acutally feel "normal"..no meds, normal blood pressure, (110/120 over 60/70 etc, resting heart rate is 65-72....but at night, when I'm sleeping, my heart beat will wake me as it gets close to 90BPM?

I'm fit, not overweight....cardio/weight workout up to one to two hours a day, but this is a new phenomonom....anyone out there have a similar experience with elvated hrt at night? any remedies?

Congratulations on all of your success! The "no meds" is a huge deal. In fact I have never heard of this before!

Don't you know that bad dreams increase our heart rates? I cannot imagine a heart rate of 90 bpm waking me up. This is not that high of a heart rate at all while sleeping.

Do a search on sleep studies and see where some's heart rate swings wildly, like from 135 bpm to 60 bpm or more.

How old are you?
