inflamed arteries

hello, my mother has inflamed arteries in herabdomen, and an possible aortic insuficiancy,  her dr is n  dallas and practices cardiovascular surgery inthe morning and alterbative medacine in hte after noon.  he has told her the inflamed arteries are due to her not getting enough or to much of something, her bad cholesterol in high, and her histamines are high as well he told her dhe is one the road to a heart attack.  what i whant to know is it bossiple to have inflamed arteries due to toxitity of the body or food allergies,  her lever only works for some thing but not all as she  said shouldent she at least look into traditional treatment or causes for her own good he told her not to take anything for her cholesterol it would probally kill her due to all the toxin in the drug, but over time wiong the high cholestoral have the same end, and can the inflammed arteries in her abdomen be due to the aortic insufficancy it is bad enough it can be heard and has arose since 2 years ago when she had her last echo, she constantally has tachycardia with pulse around 130-140 of which this quack blames on food allergies, what do you think i am worried she wants nothinf to do with normal medicen just quackery if this whas me what would you recomend i am hopinng to talk a little since into her.  please help any appenion in great even if you agree with the other dr just want to make shure she is not suffering from something else and not chasing the wrong culprite.

In my opinion, you should definitely take her to a cardiologist who practices mainstream medicine. Someone who practices cardiac surgery in the morning and alternative medicine in the afternoon probably does neither well - she ought to see another doctor soon to clarify what is really going on.
