information on rt ventricular conduction delay

My grandson is 18 and has been diagnosed with  homocystinuria and just recently has experienced chest pains.  The preliminary diagnosis wsas this rt. ventricular conduction delay:  with a bundle branch block.  Right now we are just waiting to get more information on their findings.  Can you just give me an idea of what these findings could mean to my Grandson?  Any information would be very helpful.

LBBB and RBBB aren't really something that should be causing him chest pain. True heart related chest pain is caused by a lack of bloodflow to the heart muscle. The most common cause for that is Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). At his age that is practically unheard of. The second most common cause would be some form of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) such as a Cardiomyopathy or severe structural heart anomaly. If that were the problem, you would have certainly known about it before now. Chest pains in children and teens, especially, is actually quite common but rarely any true problem; it's generally muscle or cartiledge related. As far as the RBBB, that usually isn't too much of a problem for most people, the degree of delay is what will determine his treatment if any is given. take care
