irregular heartbeats??

by ade686, Jul 11, 2007 03:13AM
I have a question about irregular heartbeats.  I'm a 24 year old female.  I found out a few weeks ago that I have a ruptured disc between L4 and L5, they decided to try epidurals as treatment.  I have now had the first 2 shots out of a series of 3, and am scheduled to have the final epidural in a week.  My problem is this, since the first epidural I have experienced heart fluttering, and what seems to be irregular heartbeats, which I feel throughout my body.  I do not have chest pain and do not get dizzy, but am a bit concerned about this. I'm not on any daily medication, and although I smoke, I'm pretty healthy.  Could this fluttering and irregularity be cause by an alergy (allergy) to the epidurals?

Give your doctor's office a call and let them know. However it is probably just some premature heartbeats which are fairly common and nothing to worry about.
