just diagnosed rhuematic fever

If there isn't a lab test that can explicity tell a doc if one has RF, and all they have to base it on is joint pain and an EKG.. how do I know it is accurate. I've seen on this that most don't show signs of any abnormal heart rhthyms or signs on their EKG so it is basically the immobility of our joints that tell doctors? I don't recall having any sore throat prior to waking up and not being able to move then the neck/back of skull lumps, then the slight sunburn rash all over, then after feeling better a couple days thinking just some funky virus, ( I still had the lymph glands or nodules in back of head behind ears but I could walk... after a couple of days it came again and this time debilitating. every joint felt like it had cement in it. I am generally in excellent health goign to gym 4-5 times a week and there was nothing that I recall to bring this on.. No prior illness just bam! I've had strep a few times in childhood but always treated. this is scaring me and I am not comfortable with the little criteria to base the diagnosis on. Live in southwest and they are testing for 9 other scary diseases to rule them out but the one they think it is, there is no test for it? Can someone share if they know if there is some test to positively know it is RF?
