just need advice please

Hello I had my daughter in may of 2007 everything was great until 2days later I could not breath was so weak, took myself back to hospital and they told me to go home it was just anxiety. For 3 months I dealt with this back and forth to docs and hospital, finally they figured it out my ef was 10 then after loosing 18 pounds in 24 hours it went to 18 and stayed that way for some time. I was there for a month have been told no more babies. My # have gone to 21 6 wks later 33 then stayed at that for a year then to 45 and now a year later down to 37. It is so hard to stay positive, I really wonder what to do all I can think about is the worse transplant. Does anyone out there have had or no someone who has gotten better. I just want to live a happy normal life. I am now 35 and I love my daughter more and more everyday. Thank you for listening.

I'm sorry you've been going through so much. Taking care of a new baby is exhausting enough but to do it with a sick heart is even worse.

I have some friends that have had their EF improve over time with the right medications and life style changes. Their hearts will never go back to being perfect but they're doing so much better. One friend travels and works out at the gym, another friend locally is pretty young with CHF but she also travels and stays busy with her friends.

This is something that has be to managed by your cardiologist. If you're having problems with fluid retention, chest pain, etc., you and your cardiologist need to come up with a plan on how to manage all of this. Don't give up. Your life will be a bit different than what you expected but it can still have its fun times.
