laser angioplasty on legs with blockages 10 to 12 inches long

Hello, I am searching for a cardiologist who may be more advanced at laser angioplasty on legs. My father has severe blockages in both legs. Had triple bypass l5 yrs. ago on heart, both carotids had endartarectomy 5months ago and now we have to do something about his legs. Cardiologist in Pgh, Pa. cannot laser legs because he says blockages are to long. Laser catherization would be less risky, I need to know, can blockages this long be cleared with a laser at Cleveland Clinic, or anywhere else in USA for that matter?????? He also went into CHF early this year and had a stent put in the left side of his heart. His ejection fraction is  supposed to be approximately 30%.  Please anything you tell me would be helpful.    Thank you   Cindy   p.s. he is only 64 yrs.old

I don't think we are using the laser for leg blockages here.  In general laser is no less "risky" than standard therapy and is usually only used after conventional measures have failed.  If your would like your father to be evaluated here I would recommend Dr. Mitch Silver.  You can make an appointment with him be calling the number below.
