They are diagnosed by echo. When present, they are pretty obvious. They may produce no symptoms at all. They may produce fever and fatigue. They may produce shortness of breath.

They do run in certain families. They are believed to be a cardiac tumor that is not usually malignant. They can recur after surgical resection and can also be multiple. They can sometimes be confused with blood clots in the heart.
