lightheaded worse after pacemaker implant

Heart Dr recommended a pacemaker implant for lightheadedness the past 20 years.
It was done a month ago, and immediately when I stood up, the first time, I noticed the lightheadedness was way worse,
Still is. Dr. answer is to "have patience"

Lightheadedness can be caused by many different etiologies.  Pacemakers are placed to increase the heart rate in certain cases when the native heart rate is too slow (most frequently for a condition called complete heart block but there are others).  A very low heart rate at rest or a heart rate that does not increase appropriately with exercise can cause low blood pressure than can cause lightheadedness.  Although the pacemaker may have been needed, you may need to be evaluated by either an internist or a neurologist who can determine if there are any other treatable causes of this symptom in your case.
