link between WPW and hyperactivity/impulsivity

by mom2c_a, Jan 15, 2008 10:46PM
My 7 year old was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White syndrome at 5 months of age. We have had many years of issues with his behaviors...namely hyperactivity and impulsivity that as I view it, is sporatic. He is immature for his age, has difficulty controlling his emotions at times, but is academically advanced. However, he does not seem to understand when I ask about heart flutters, light headedness, or feeling dizzy, nor does he complain. He is not on any treatments. I would like to know if there is a link between behaviors of hyperactivity and impulsivity and WPW episodes.
