I am 51 years of age and been having bouts of a fib since Dec. 2008. I woke up in a fib yesterday, and it lasted about 6 hours. The day before a did about 1 hour of pretty intense cardio, on the tread mill. I have been running on the treadmill for over a year and train with a polar heart rate monitor. I used to be a heavy drinker, and smoker, and suffered from serious bouts of a fib/holiday heart so I know what it is. I run about 6 days a week, and weight train 2 days. I can bring my heart up to 185 bpm and back down to 135 bpm in less than a minute. I was a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys relieved to find out intense cardio can trigger a fib, but on the other handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor bummed out because I am really into running. My question is: How much is to much of excersice? I also converted a previous bout of a fib back to normalNormal saline flush sinus by running on the treadmill. Does cardio cause it, then fixes it? I will keep searching. I am glad I found this sight
