low pulse rates

my resting pulse rate is 40 - 45 .. is this normal in a 52 year old female with hypothyrodism

Well a low heart rate is more likely if you are hypothyroid.  What is  your TSH?  That is low for waking hours but not during sleep.  I think physicians are ok with it as long as you aren't passing out or very lightheaded.  Once your thyroid level is stabilized it will likely increase to a more normal 60-80.
